I studied Math, Physics and Chemistry in the Talpiot program of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. I differentiated to Systems and Developmental Biology for my PhD at the Weizmann Institute of Science, with Profs. Naama Barkai and Benny Shilo. I transdifferentiated to metabolism in my post-doc with Prof. Doug Melton at Harvard University, where I became fascinated with bariatric surgery.
I opened the lab in the Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem in Nov. 2016 (20 years after starting my undergraduate studies!), and aim to merge everything I've learned to discover new biology and medicine for metabolic diseases.
I love running - especially outdoors, hiking, my family, friends, coffee, beer, science fiction, working out, and ... sweets.
